Mike McCoy
CEO and Chairman
Michael R. McCoy is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of BillMyParents, Inc., and is responsible for the overall business and strategic direction for the company.
With more than 25 years of personal finance industry experience, Mr. McCoy is a recognized leader in the financial services industry. Prior to joining BillMyParents, he served as the President of Consumer Credit Cards for Wells Fargo, where he successfully led the $20 billion division and 8.5M customers through sweeping regulatory changes and the recent economic downturn. He has also held key positions overseeing a range of companies and functions including sales, marketing, human resources and communications for consumer credit card, retail and consumer finance, mutual funds, annuities, and life insurance programs.
Fascinated by the financial world from a young age, McCoy has always been attracted to the concept of improving customers’ financial positions, particularly while in a pivotal business leadership role, where he can energize and optimize teams dedicated to the same goals. Keen to make a bigger and earlier impact helping consumers in the financial services marketplace, he joined BillMyParents in October 2011, and is focused on bringing the company’s teen spending solutions to a broad spectrum of families with teens.
Mr. McCoy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Missouri State University, and has completed executive education courses from the University of Southern California, Stanford University and ING’s international business school in Amsterdam.
Jonathan Shultz
CFO and Treasurer
The Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of BillMyParents, Inc. since November 2007, Jonathan Shultz has served as a consultant, Chief Financial Officer and/or VP of Operations for predecessor companies to BillMyParents since June 2000. He has also been a financial consultant and Chief Information Officer for Neology, Inc., a producer of RFID solutions, and was the Chief Financial Officer for San Diego-based pharmaceutical research company California Clinical Trials. Prior to holding those roles, Mr. Shultz was a Controller, VP of Finance/Administration and the Chief Financial Officer at Aurora Electronics, Inc. and Asset Recovery Concepts, and he specialized in Computer Technologies at Ernst & Young where he worked in the Audit and Attest Practice.
Mr. Shultz specializes in finance, technology and international business. He has worked in Mexico and Brazil with four different companies and speaks four languages. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and a Master’s Degree in Finance, also from SDSU.

Isaac Blech, Vice Chair – Founded/Financed companies creating over $35B in market value
Founded and financed some of the world’s leading companies in the biotechnology field including Celgene, Nova Pharmaceutical, Genetics Systems, ICOS, and Pathogenesis, creating in excess of $35B in market value. More recently Mr. Blech has become the lead financier and largest shareholder in companies including Bill My Parents Inc., Premier Alliance Group, Stratus Media Group, ContraFect Corporation, Cerecor Inc., and Medgenics.
Patrick Kolenik, Director – Former CEO of Sherwood Securities Corp.
Has over 40 years of securities industry experience. Formerly CEO of Sherwood Securities Corp., one of the largest securities trading firms in the U.S. Mr. Kolenik has been involved with more than 200 public and private financings. Mr. Kolenik currently serves on the Board of Directors of Premier Alliance Group, Stratus Media and American Roadside Burgers.
Joe Proto, Director – Over 30 years of billing and payments industry experience
Has over 30 years of billing and payments industry experience. Mr. Proto is currently the Chairman and CEO of electronic billing company Transactis, Inc. He founded REMITCO, a remittance processing company where he also served as President for 11 years, which was acquired by First Data Corp. Mr. Proto also founded Financial Telesis (CashFlex), a payment processor to 65 of the top 100 banks in the U.S., which was acquired by CoreStates / Wachovia and is now a part of Wells Fargo.
Cary Sucoff, Director – Over 28 years of securities industry experience
Has over 28 years of securities industry experience. Mr. Sucoff currently serves on the Board of Directors of Contrafect Corp., Cerecor Inc., Premier Alliance Group and American Roadside Burgers. Member of the Board of Trustees of New England Law/Boston for over 20 years and Chairman of the Endowment Committee. B.A. from SUNY Binghamton (1974) and a J.D. from New England School of Law (1977) where he was the Managing Editor of the Law Review and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Sucoff has been a member of the Bar of the State of New York since 1978.
Rob DeSantis, Director – Co-Founder of Ariba and LinkedIn Angel Investor and Board Member
Co-founded Ariba, a provider of business to business e-commerce solutions that was one of the first B2B Internet companies to go public, and whose market capitalization reached $40 billion. Mr. DeSantis was also an early angel investor and board member of LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional online network, which has more than 150 million global members today.
